Thanks Again for Your Emails During the San Diego Fires

We wanted to once again thank everyone who wrote and called to express their concern for us during the San Diego fires. The fires are still ongoing, but the fire fighters seem to be getting a handle on it and hopefully all the hundreds of thousands of evacuees will be home soon. We were lucky that no one from our office lost their homes or were seriously affected. Everyone from our office is fine.
Situations like this show why we take so much care with housing our servers in a secure building. Even in a worst case scenario, we’ve taken extensive precautions to make sure your data will still be protected and available to you.

This week’s staff pick comes from Julie Deloach, one of our Client Support Specialists, who recommends using If you want to send someone a link that has a very long web address, it allows you to create a shorter (or “tiny”) one. This is helpful when you send a URL by email and the recipient has to cut and paste several broken lines into one. These URLs won’t break in emails and will never expire.
